The length of the poles is very important. As is their composition (aluminium, carbon, etc.)

The club will offer you training with qualified coaches, in a group adapted to your level or experience

The coaches will give you technical advice on the movements you need to acquire to progress in the sport

The arm movements will help you to lengthen your stride, before gaining speed.
Regular training twice a week will help you to improve both your muscular and cardio respiratory capacities - Nordic walking is practised on urban or rural paths but not on steep mountain paths.
