10 tips to start Nordic Walking

  • The club will advise you on the choice of equipment, sportswear and poles specific to Nordic walking
  • The length of the poles is very important. As is their composition (aluminium, carbon, etc.)

  • The club will offer you training with qualified coaches, in a group adapted to your level or experience

  • The coaches will give you technical advice on the movements you need to acquire to progress in the sport

  • The arm movements will help you to lengthen your stride, before gaining speed.
    Regular training twice a week will help you to improve both your muscular and cardio respiratory capacities

  • Nordic walking is practised on urban or rural paths but not on steep mountain paths.
  • Nordic walking can also be practised alone but also enjoyable in a friendly group and can be practised all year round
  • Numerous Nordic walking events take place near us, which allows us to share information on all the benefits that Nordic walking can bring
